Having been afflicted with Paraplegia in April of 2006, this site is a venue where I can catalogue my experiences, frustrations, recoveries and achievements. I write it primarily for myself. My posts may be long-winded and repetitive. If anyone else finds it of use, all the better.

- Born in Ontario Canada of Latvian parents, educated at The University of Western Ontario, (UWO)-London, Ontario Met my wonderful American wife (Boston area) on a 1971 school trip to Quebec City. Own registered company 'ThunderHouse Instruments' where I attempt to keep out of trouble making musical instruments, primarily Bass Guitars. A retired Medical Laboratory Technologist. Have worked in several Ontario hospitals. Involved in some Medical research with published papers.

This Blog Site
This blog site is my platform where I can document my dealing with paralysis. It is a timeline of my frustration, pain, discomfort with the disability, and yes, my progress and limited recovery.
It is my blog site where I can vent and gripe about the medical system, the vendors which "support" the disabled community, and other problems or frustrations I encounter, not of my own making.
Much of the material in this blog will repeat as it is a timeline of what affects me at the moment of writing.
My disability is ongoing as are the symptoms, pains and frustrations. They weave a reoccurring theme throughout this blog.
My apologies to the reader if it is too repetitious, however I am documenting for my own benefit. If you, the reader, get anything out of my posts, all the better. But I am writing for myself, alone.

I used your old blog site "What's Buggin' You" to study for my ASCP. Today, I've been a med tech in the Microbiology department for about 7 years now and I still use the blog for reference (your title for the Microbiology blog was and still is fantastic).
I wanted to write a personal thank you via email, but the links I've clicked on keeps giving me a message that it does not exist. Now that I found this blog, I will publicly say: Thank you for sharing your knowledge, your pictures, and your stories.
